Newport

NEWPORT, OR. With views of the Pacific Ocean for miles and rocky landscapes filling the landsides, it's hard to match the beauty of the beaches in Oregon state. Newport is Bayfront town approximately half ways up the Oregon coastline. It's also known as the dungeons crab capital of the world. Newport is a popular destination for tourists and family vacations.

The Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport is a favorite stop along Highway 101. The Aquarium is open year round and is home to over 15,000 animals. The Passages of the Deep Exhibit gives the feeling of being submersed as you are surrounded by shark-filled waters. The 360-degree views are possible as the exhibit was once home to the famed whale Keiko from the movie" Free Willy.
