Most of us can admit to thoughts of soaring aimlessly through the clouds with nothing but the wind at our back. Today those fantasies can become realities with the help of Skysports Skydiving in Richland, Washington. Skysports provides would-be thrill seekers with a once in a lifetime chance at flight.

People from all ages and backgrounds have decided to take the plunge and try their hand at skydiving. Drop Zone co-owner Larry Warner talks about some of the folks that have made the leap of faith. "Usually it's something they've always wanted to do. Well you have to be eighteen years old to jump here. We've jumped a 90 year old woman, 85 year old guy that's 75 and he's coming back this year, it's been ten years and he's gonna do another one."

A lot of preparation goes into each flight and Skysports does its part to get each group of new adrenaline junkies ready. An in-depth training session is required for all skydivers before they even suit up.

"The instruction is pretty intense, we have video for about three hours and about two and a half hours of just basic instruction talking about situations, actually putting on the harnesses and doing the procedures." Larry Warner.

At last, the moment of truth has finally arrived as the plane taxis the runway and our lucky passengers begin their adventure. One by one these newly trained skydivers leave the secure confines of the plane to begin their spiraling journey downward.
