Located halfway between Seattle and Portland in the town of Centralia, the Olympic Club Hotel and Theater has been a local landmark since its construction in the early 1900’s. Probably most well known for the infamous Massacre and union riots of 1919, Centralia is now a town bustling with cobblestone streets, antique shops and community spirit.
In a time when the local economy relied heavily on logging and mining, the Olympic Club served as a retreat for the working-man. Built in 1908 and again remodeled in 1913, the Pub is virtually unchanged from nearly a century ago. From its spectacular mahogany bar and tiffany lighting to the original cash register, one step in the Olympic Club immediately invokes feelings of days gone by.
Things have changed a lot since those days and today the Club operates its own brewery right on the premises and it’s all completely legit. What was once exclusively a gentlemen’s club is now a fun place for even folks both young and old to come and have a good time. They even letting women come in these days. "WOMEN WERE FINALLY ALLOWED TO COME INTO THE OLYMPIC CLUB IN 1971. IF YOU NOTICE THE SIGN ABOVE THE ENTRANCE IT SAYS WOMENS PATRONAGE NOT SOLICITED. WE DON’T ABIDE BY THAT ANYMORE."
The theater runs feature films daily and offers a relaxing way to take in a show. Comfy couches and chairs create a cozy and intimate setting for watching a movie with family and friends. If popcorn just isn’t enough, guests are welcome to order something off the menu and wash it down with a pint of McMenamins ale too.
